A new survey by luckydays.com showed that Torontonians are the most likely to “play hooky” to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs with 45% of respondents admitting to skipping work to do so.
Millennials were the most likely to miss work to watch hockey with 40% of female Torontonians saying they would play hooky to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs, while 58% of men from T.O, would do the same.
Over a third (35%) of those who would “play hooky” would also come clean with their boss that they would rather watch an important hockey game than work.

Only 15% were much more comfortable with lying and would claim they had an emergency at home or with their family to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Of the millennials from Toronto, almost 50% of those surveyed claimed that they would happily skip work to watch hockey, while less than 10% of baby boomers would play hooky and skip work for a game.
Of all of the fans surveyed who said that they would play hooky to watch hockey, 41% of the respondents were Leafs supporters.
Luckydays.com surveyed more than 1,000 Canadians using leading online research platform Prolific on May 24.
